Tired of the busy and crowded tourist spots? Wishing to spend a quiet time and recharge your heart, mind, and soul? Visiting West Bali National Park can be the choice for you.

As the name suggests, the national park is located on the west side of Bali, Buleleng Regency. The area is approximately 3% of Bali’s total land area, 190.02 square kilometers. This consists of 158 square kilometers of land and the rest is the sea. The West Bali National Park has several habitats, from Savanna, mangroves, montane, and mixed-monsoon forests. Its sea ecosystem is also varied from shallow seas and deep-sea waters, coral reefs, seagrass beds, and sandy beaches. The ecosystem ensures around 176 species that have their well-deserved protections. Bali Myna’s most famous one is probably. The endangered Bali Myna (Jalak Bali) were mostly living on Teluk Brumbun where the government does captive breeding programs. The program is quite successful, and got spread out to Cekik, Gilimanuk, Teluk Trima, and the newest one is at Blimbingsari Village, Melaya.

There are some activities offered for visitors. Camping, trekking, cycling, diving, snorkeling, and many more. If you are lucky, you may be doing activities in the jungle. Karang Sewu beach offers a picturesque view for you who want to take some time off from hectic life. Picnic or even camping by the beach, it’s all your choice! The snorkeling spot that is also part of the National Park is Menjangan Island. Due to the stunning coral reeves, Menjangan is an island catches the interest of world divers. You may choose the time, from the morning tonight. The island is also the house of wild deer, so don’t be surprised if you found some deer prancing around.

Reaching the West Bali National Park from the airport will take around 3-4 hours on road trip, and less if you come by ferry from Ketapang, East Java.
